A few weeks back RISK and Shepard Fairey Knocked out a mural for the Skid Row Housing Trust. Shepard Fairey and RISK collaborated on the mural. The mural was especially important to both Shepard and RISK, not only did it allow homeless people to enjoy the same art on their walls as wealthy collectors but It was also the first permit issued for a public mural since the mural Moratorium had been lifted late last year. Both Shepard and RISK have had a controversial past with the city for illegal murals. Certain city officials said RISK would never paint legally in Los Angeles or ever be issued a permit. The murals themselves are a testament to issues of social justice and human rights on a few different levels.
